Introduction/Career aspirations/Interest
My name is WangYuXin who come from LiaoNing province in China. Video game and basketball is my favourite. I am studying IT at Deakin college now. The reason why I decide to choose IT to my major, I do like making a website, design an app or a game. And I plan to find a job that relate to what I learn at school. For example, I hope that I can work at a company who good at creating game. I like playing game, also I would like to design or create a new game. So in order to achieve my goal in the future, I need to focus on what I learn at college and university. In my opinion, these does help me developing IT skills.
Summaries of skills audit
For the skill that I like to use to develop my future career. I know how to use Word to edit documents which could be useful in my future career. Meanwhile, I learn Matlab by myself before, because I reckon this software has some connection with IT. It can help me to understand programming better. Also, I am learning how to create a website in class, although these are basic skills. These skills would be proved when I step into the university.

Vikrant Patel is my lecturer at Deakin College. He isteaching and unit coordination of ‘Real World Practices for Cyber Securityand ‘Introductionto Responsive Web Appsunits to Diploma of Information Technology students. The reason why I want to have a connection with Vikrant Patel, not just he is my lecturer. He hasexperienced his passion for research and an ability to deal with diverse technical challenges. In addition, he haslearned how to work with various personalities around, which is pretty important to make the maximum out of it.Meanwhile, he worked on various projects using C, C++ and Java programming languages, these are skills I will use in my future career.
Peris is Majoring in Cyber Security and Networking, and he has Master’s degree of Information Technology at Deakin University. Also, he has experiencesin Web Servers and troubleshooting technical issues.The experiences he has relates to what I want to do in my future career.
Han has bachelor of IT at Southwest University and very passionate about teamwork. She is a confident and hard-working student who has leadership with good communication skills. She is a current IT student in Deakin with former two-year undergraduate study in Southwest University. Equipped with enough knowledge of computer science. Excellent written/verbal communication and teamwork skills evidenced through the contribution to mathematical modelling competition. Proven ability of leadership and management skills demonstrated by my role in radio station of Southwest University. Career goal is to become an experienced and fully-qualified information analyst.The major she choose is the same as me, and she has already learned for a period of time. She could help me to prove my skills in my future career, and I could have a discussion with her if I have any issues during learning process.
A brief reflection about which employers and communities
In my view, communities are more important than employers. Because when communities try to boost employee engagement, the connection between employers and communities become closer. engaged employees will go the extra mile to ensure that your company keeps winning. These folks want your company to do well because they understand that when the company wins, everyone wins. But unless your employees feel an emotional connection to your company, engagement won’t happen. Also, as any HR leader in a company with multiple locations knows, the further you move away from headquarters, the more isolated and disconnected employees tend to feel. Having regional community involvement ambassador teams helps rally employees around a cause and generates a sense of inclusiveness and shared purpose. Even if your company is smaller in size or has only one location, the team connects people around a common goal.
